A quiet moment alone in the drizzle by the beach.

Had to live w/o my laptop for the past 4 or 5 days. It was a torture... Anyway thanks to Yn who revived it.
I feel like a new man again now that its back! haha.
I realise the 3 most important items in my life now are: Laptop, mobile phone, and car.
All are items that facilitate communication in some way. So much for the self lauded anti-social here.
I'll probably die or lose my marbles if I lose all 3 together.

Had my appraisal a few days back. Still in top 20%!
Quite surprising considering my relatively low workload and one major hiccup this year.
I can knockoff on the dot everyday... I think I did less than 5 days of OT in the whole of 2009 haha.
Then again, I've conscientiously achieved what was expected from the role...

Finally, 1.5 years had whizzed by so fast... I had completed my studies (yay!!) and turned 30 (upset).

Once again, I have re-confirmed that queuing is one of the most prevalent the national past times.
Shell had a $1 per litre promo today and the stupid queue snaked for 3 bus stops!!
I thought there was a major pileup in my neighbourhood.. only to realise it's Sillyporeans doing what they excel at. Got Queue faster join... duno queue for what also must join!!

Was showering just now when I saw a lizard on the door. I was bochup and continued to finish my shower, standing about 1m from it. In stark contrast, I galloped around like a mad gazelle when a roach landed on my neck 2 days ago in public. I hate flying roaches.

Caught District 9 with the navy guys earlier on. Havent seen them for so long! I realise as my friends age, they put in more effort in dressing and appearance. Whereras Im the exact opposite, I can virtually go anywhere in pyjamas or 3 for $10 tees,and with out of bed hair..heh. Thats so unlike the previous me, who'll glam up from head to toe, complete with full dress rehearsals to boot.

The roads seemed exceptionally clear today, reached office 30 mins earlier than usual. Then it dawned on me it’s Teachers Day today! And parents are all taking leave to company their kids… we should have more of such holidays to clear the roads!

It’s been busy busy of late… and it’s the last semester that school work can haunt me .. to hell with school! Heh…I seemed to have run out of things to blog, a lot of things happened and are happening, but I prefer not to publicize.

Oh, belated happy bday to my dear MD!! Hope you remain 18 every year!

And I’ve just gotten ST’s wedding invite from Yn last Sunday. It seemed not so long ago when all of us were polymates, but 12 yrs have passed, crap.

Suggestions for cheap places for short getaways anyone?

Car-less for a week wef today. I thought my world's gonna plunge into darkness, for I've quite little idea how to take MRT.. Bimbotic moments abound, took two wrong platforms and can't seem to find the another one..but I still managed to get to office..hurray! I think MRT is quite intimidating..loss of privacy and personal space.. everyone lookin here and there.. made me feel damn messy and self conscious. Then again, some calm presided on the way back after most of the maddening crowd got off. The previous plots of barren land have sprung up condos, and I caught one of the most beautiful sunsets in quite a long time, and watch the world whizz by...MRT rox....!

Back from the short trip. It was a good respite.
Days ahead are gonna be busy with back to back exams and projects. Last semester to go!

Watched Transformers last sat with the usual gang. I hate long movies... so i dozed intermittently 50% of the time.I can't really remember the story now. wahahaha.,...it doesnt help that im very sleepy too.

Got this thing in the mail yesterday, thought it's just the usual credit card crap... until I read that I qualified because because my signature card expenditure has exceeded $30k in past 12 months.  Faintz!! I remember using that card alot, but 30k?? Someone tell me it's a hoax pls.

So Mr X and me set off to the zoo once more 2 days back.. Weather wasn't every cooperative at first, but I think it's a blessing in disguise as it made the whole place much cooler. Luckily we brought along the 2 umbrellas in the car in anticipation of possible downpours. It's very fun ambling about, looking at animals and camwhoring.

Mr X was very smart to use the transparent umbrella so that he can look at the animals high up through the brolly. Met D for his bday after that for buffet, then its home.

In the midst of the mad rush for project deadlines, I suddenly had this stupid thought... that I get rear ended by some cutie driver on the road. Then I'll act cool and friendly about it, and both of us exchanged contacts and become friends or scandals.. that would be so cool. Gonna lookout for cuties and jam brake in front of them. Hahaha.. ok back to project!

Oh, it's Ju's bday today, happy bday!! 3 yr+ since I knew him..time flies..shit.

Since we're on this topic, let me do a wish list... (to be fulfilled my myself haha).
It's quite sad that my hobbies are all bordering on the expensive side of things..


1) DSLR!! Can't get enough of picture taking since I caught the shutter bug!





2) 4 channel RC Plane. Itching to get one since I started fooling ard with KT flying cheapo 2 channel foamies, but the steep learning curve and cost deterred me till now..scared I will crash it lah...




3) This is wishing that I can get my lazy ass off and embark on the long long overdue aquascaping project. This shall be my inspiration. Iwagumi style!




4) Watches!! Any one also can so long as it's expensive hahaha!! As it is, I'm already running out of space to store the collection, but who cares right.... mood come then buy lor.

Went to office zombified again and doc extended the MC for the rest of the week.
Took blood for testing too.

For now I'm just lazing at home and chit chatting with ppl, but can't get out as I'm too weak..  So darn bored.

We had to put up with his nose pubes the entire bkk trip, i need to add that half the bush is sticking out at any point of time. We bitched reminded him like 25 times in 3 days to do something about it, to no avail.

Yes, I really wish I hadn't gone, boss saw dying in office and commanded me to take MC..doc says if my 39+ deg fever still dont subside, it will be dengue case.. fuck lor.. !! ...not to mention this trip has screwed up all my lesson schedules and I now die die must attend lesson for 1 full week in this near comastose state.

next time if i land at any place so hot, i'm gona u-turn and fly back immediately! crap.
yes, i know dengue has nothing to do with the weather, but try walking around under the 40deg weather with a fever.

Boss played me out and now it seemed like I'm at fault.

In Sabah with Hub and LS for the past week, doing whitewater rafting, snorkelling and jungle boat cruise...
Was whisked off for badminton session after I landed. Danny smacked real hard and the shuttle hit Gary behind the head. Poor Gary was in a daze after that and we had to play without him. 

Real tired, not to mention sunburnt...
